Mimi believes in encouraging, helping, supporting and shining a light on talented, creative, human minds who use image-making as their way to explore and understand the world. Mimi knows all humans are born creative but also understands the challenge we all face: to remain creative as we get older. Society tells us to grow up but by remaining child-like and free, we can enhance our own creativity.

The Mimi Manifesto
Mimi was founded in 2022 to further develop Melanie’s passion for helping other creatives thrive, succeed and feel good in a sometimes cut-throat industry.
Mimi is a safe space for creatives, where we can meet up (online and in real life), organise art challenges, give each other feedback and advice, foster creative endeavours, show each other our work, give each other pep talks and bring back the joy we felt when social media wasn't a pit of scrolling and despair.
Mimi is about people and the way they make thing and connect over creativity.
Mimi will be open to all image makers and creative minds. Mimi will empower creatives to still go out into the world and find (well paid) work they love, doing things only humans can do: raw, imperfect, creative and beautiful work.

Why the name “Mimi”?
This is sweet and simple. Mimi was our founder Melanie’s nickname as a child. Only her really close people (her French family) still call her that today. “Mimi” also means “cute” in French. This platform was always meant to be called Mimi - an ode to everyone’s inner child and playfulness.
